Another Kiwi 5
Hungry this morning and that got me thinking about food back in kiwiland, especially food we cannot get way out here in Korla. We have marmite though so it isn’t toooo bad!
1. Espresso 124 Flatbread.
Garlic and parmessan cheese on a simple pizza base. Used to make this a lot when we were living in Wellington. Absolutely rocks. Can be also topped with blended red capsicum to give it a lovely colour. No oven here so we can’t bake this.
2. Felafel from Dimitri’s
Used to work for the Chancery in Christchurch a long time ago. They made us pay for our lunch so I would always eat out - usually pick up a felafel from Dimitri stand in the square and watch people play chess. Have to watch out for your shoes though.
3. Malaysian Curry
A little place in Wellington, I forget the name of the place has wonderful curry. And great naan. Yum. I love naan!
4. AnneMarie’s White Chocolate and Blueberry Muffins
Legendary. Come on send me some! No wait. That won’t work.
5. Mum’s Anzac Biscuits
Better than her rock cakes, which were um, rock cakes, her Anzac biscuits rocked like the big bopper. And then there is her macaroni cheese…
I missed out chip butties, damn good too.
