Asia Blog Awards

Nominees for the 2006 Asia Blog Awards have been posted at the Asia Blog Awards website. Up for grabs are the Best China Blog, Best Asian Photoblog, Best India Blog, Best Asian BGLT Blog and the Best Asian Group Blog. There is no Best Japan Blog section for some reason. Of course we don’t need an award competition to know which is the best Japan blog!
Michael Mannings’ The Opposite End of China blog is a nominee in the Best China Blog section. We worked with Michael in Korla and his blog is one of my picks for the award. The other blog I expect to do well is Talk Talk China - also in The Best China Blog section. Talk Talk China is a group blog, run by 3 laowai (foreigners) in Beijing, Hong Kong and Taiwan. They rail against life in China at every chance they get.
Voting hasn’t opened yet, but you have to rank the blogs in each section in order to vote for them. E-mail registration is required to participate - in order to stop people voting repeatedly for their favourite blogs.
