I used to live just down the road from him in Grey Lynn and while I wouldn't call myself a huge fan of his music, he's made a massive contribution to NZ music, tv and beyond and hearing his music makes me pretty homesick. If The Homo Jews don't make it over to Japan (or even if they do!) then you should come to Taiwan and see them. Not only that, Tomer the guitarist makes super good toasted sandwiches! Yeah, I was pretty shocked to hear about Chris’ health too.
