Japan travels continue - back to Tokyo

Well it is back to Tokyo tonight on the nightbus for a meeting tomorrow. Just when I thought we wouldn’t be traveling around too much, here we go again.
Night buses in Japan are one of the cheapest ways to travel around the country - although must buses head for Tokyo there are other destinations available. Tickets can normally be bought on the internet, from a convenience store or from the bus station itself. If you are planning your trip, then you probably need a Japanese person to help you buy a ticket as most of the sites are only in Japanese. If you go to a convenience store and are patient the stuff will be helpful as long as the store isn’t too busy.
Of course if you visit Japan and want to see the country a trip on the shinkansen, or bullet train is not to be missed. Travel on the shinkansen can be expensive, but you can find cheaper tickets if you are lucky at “kakuyasu chiketto ten” (very cheap ticket shop) - ask around the big stations and someone should point you in the right direction.
I will stay in Tokyo probably until Friday when I will head back to Akita - using the last section of our “seishun 18 kippu” ticket. That is going to be a massive mission - leaving Tokyo 7:21am and arriving in Takanosu at 21:35! I will change trains 11 times. And the amazing thing is they will all be on time (well 99% of the time). If it was New Zealand and I had to change trains 11 times to reach my destination then it would probably take me 2 weeks to get there!
