Leaking English Cockroaches

A strange post title. But all will be explained. Just hold on to your wellingtons. Or whatever you call them.

Leaking is for the pipe that is leaking in our kitchen. The spray has subsided now – the pipe is for, I think, our heating system as our radiators are lukewarm. Not a terrible problem as the weather is rather warm at the moment. It is now almost half past seven. Someone was supposed to come and fix the leak at half past four but here in Korla you get used to waiting for repairs. Kind of like waiting for kiwi plumbers. But they don’t have plumbers cracks which must be disappointing for some.

English is for English teachers. I have updated the teaching section on this site. You can check it out here if you are interested in coming to teach in Asia and cannot make up your mind between teaching in Japan, China, Taiwan or South Korea. Some useful hints, links and advice there if I may say so myself.

Cockroaches is for the little blighters who got disturbed by the pipe leaking. Poor wee buggers. At least they seem to be able to swim. They aren’t really cockroaches like one is used to – they are smaller and not quite as hardy. But for desert dwelling silk roaders they seem to be able to swim quite well. Lucky for them!

So you see, like the monster at the end of the book that wasn’t as scary as you thought it might be, now was it?
