McDonalds Hamburger circa 1996

Apparently this McDonalds Hamburger was bought in 1996 and still looks as good as the day it was sold! You can read more about it here: 1996 McDonalds Hamburger.
Think I would rather stick with a decent felafel pita from Pita the Great.

So you are telling me that in 12 years, the bread did not mold. I am not a proponent of McDonald’s foods, but I think you need more proof than a picture to make your point.

I did say “apparently” - and linked to the website where I found the article.
Like anything on the internet it should be taken with a grain of salt.
Although with videos like this:
I wouldn’t be too surprised!

this pic is not from 1996, if you look at the wrapper in the background, the “I’m lovin’ it” slogan didn’t start until 2005.

McDonalds fries are very dry. Without much liquid then mumify forever. The mushy stuff has the moisture to grow all the lovely spores and bacteria. The fries are sterilized in the hot oil, and don’t have the moisure to let anything left take hold.
The big steak fries by comparison have lots of moisutre left in the heart of the potatoe and that moiture is what made them go bad so quickly. Any “french fry” would behave the same way as mcdonalds.
So how am I such an expert at this? I have five kids and my wife lefts them eat in the mini van, and never cleans it. I find year old mumifies fries and McNuggets all the time. The stuff that gets gross is always the stuff with moisture. Get those fries moist and you will have a mess on your hands too!

Hmmm, did they have the “I’m lovin it” logo back in 1996 (see wrapper)? I don’t remember it being used back that far. Makes me suspicious…
