Price Check Korla
Like the longstanding PriceCheckTokyo I thought I would put up some prices of stuff here so that you can get an idea of what things cost here in Korla.
Food-
Noodles: 3-8RMB
Naan Bread: 1 RMB
Chocolate Bar (Turkish): 1 RMB
Chocolate Bar (Chinese): 5 RMB
Dinner at a cheap restaurant (per person): 8-20 RMB
Dinner at a medium range restaurant (PP): 20-35 RMB
Dinner at an top end restaurant (PP): 60+ RMB
Drinks-
Water (10 litres) 6 RMB
Beer (bottle) 2.5-3 RMB
Coca Cola 3.5 RMB
Fruit Juice 4 RMB
Can Coffee 6 RMB
Red Bull 8 RMB
Taxi: 5 RMB flagfall (and you dont have to pay part RMB charges)
All prices in RMB, locally called quai with tenth divisions known as mao. Mao aren’t used that much anymore though.

At the time of writing 1RMB=0.123787 USD or 0.178299 NZD or 14.6962 JPY.
With the RMB set to rise in value over the next few months inflation could be a cause for concern.
