Skopje
Time to move this blitzkreig travel thing another step or two to the north. 5 days in Macedonia - the first couple at an aerodrome for a dance party, another couple at a IYH near the bus station and finally a night in a dodgy little place by the bazaar. It has been interesting.
The dance party had more posters up around town than punters on the floor. But the location was cool. With biplanes taking off during lightening storms to drop parachutists through the rain. The organiser didnt show, some of the main acts didnt either. But we had fun and we met Alexander of Macedonia so it was all worth while. Shouts to Nikolai, Melinda, Goran, the crazy hairy Greeks:)
Skopje is a pretty cool place, but I think I prefer Sophia. More trees there, and we have had temperatures in the high 30s, low 40s. Which makes wandering a mission.
