Taliban in Xinjiang
A misleading title, but here is a quote from my boss:
Perhaps if I was a man the Taliban would have some appeal.

Found that in my bag this morning; noted down on the shortest day whilst celebrating at the apartment of one of the chinese history teachers here at Hua Shan Middle School. The Chinese celebrate the Winter Solstice by eating dumplings. This apparently stops their ears from falling off.
