Mount Iwate
Took this yesterday on our drive north to Akita from Ibaraki. Mt. Iwate is one of the famous 100 Japanese mountains and avery beautiful sight. We also went past Appi Ski Field which is a bit further north which brought back a few memories. There is still some snow on the ground in the higher passes, but the daffodils and cherry blossoms are out, so spring is well truly here, even in the north of Japan.
We will spend a couple of days at the inlaws before heading down to visit some friends in Yamagata and Fukushima. Golden Week rolls on…
